ADVANCED DATA AND SERVICES

REAL-TIME LIGHTNING DATA

The network, operated by Meteorage, detects all types of lightning (CG – Cloud to Ground and IC – Intra Cloud) with high accuracy (about 100 m) and efficiency, in order to obtain timely and detailed monitoring of thunderstorms.

HIGH-PRECISION TRACKING

The weather data is analyzed in real time to generate a precise tracking of the path of the thunderstorm and its intensity through each life stage.

NOWCASTING

A dedicated algorithm, based on the behaviour of the storm and precise indicators, provides the forecast for direction and speed of movement of the thunderstorm.

ALERT AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

TIMELY WARNINGS

The services associated with the monitoring network allows the user to receive timely alerts and notifications, according to IEC 62793, upon the presence and evolution of storms to support decision making in the management of operational activities and safety.

AUTOMATED ALERTS VIA E-MAIL/SMS

The alerting system allows the user to set up a distribution list for warning messages (both displayed on the platform and sent via e-mail or SMS) when thunderstorms develop in the vicinity of the areas of interest.

FULL CUSTOMISATION

The system allows for a high level of customization with regard to monitored locations, size of the area to be monitored, type of notifications and number of users to be notified.
